  1. Social Media Smackdown, Oh that’s mine :) ahh I have a Ustream channel called The Blog Report something like would be cool, in fact I was thinking to ask people if they want one night a week to use that site.
So I like The Daily Scoop, Or What’s in Your world, I guess it all depends what you plan on speaking about consistently like will it be your perspective on what’s out there or some cool blogs to check out and some blogging news. James Daily Blog TIPS <<<BINGO LOL :)

    Hi James,
I might be over the top here and I might miss my mark, but I’m going to go out on a limb and say that the new section to your blog should be titled: “Two Minutes With James”
Seriously, the name came to me as I was watching how you were able to completely capture an idea and communicate that idea clearly and with power in just two minutes.
At about this same time, I had just finished a 15 minute video with Ben Lumley that was very good, but it lacked true power in its presentation. I understand that this was not Ben’s intention at the time but it got me to thinking about the two different formats.
“Videos by Ben” were and are instructional! “Two Minutes With James” is inspirational. There is a big difference there, a difference to be enjoyed and not ignored by any of us!

    • Hey man,

Thanks brother I really like 2 minutes with James, also maybe would encourage more to get involved in the videos if they know it’s not going to be a massive over drawn effort to watch it, cheers man. How’s the office staff?

      • Jeffrey says:

Giddy, ……… I tried to get her to come over and post a comment, but she’s too embarrassed, now that I have exposed her fondness for the Infopreneur. The curious thing……. she actually reads much more of your material than I do ……. sorry mate I have to work for a living!
Her name is Carolyn! You’ll see her over here soon, brother!

    Videopreneur 365

I think what you’re doing now works great too! Not really the most creative name above, but I wanted to come up with something.

James, how about “The Third Eye” that means thinking outside the box, looking at simple things that many often miss or fail to appreciate ….

    Hi James,

I think you should stick with a branding strategy when/if you decide on a name. Do you want it to be ‘James’ or do you want to be ‘Infopreneur” in the title? Depending on which way you want to go will determine which name is better to use. Also, I would stay away from the 2-minute or specific timeframe because it implies that your videos will be 2 minutes (or whatever amount of time) and what if they aren’t? Also, what if you skip a day? then the 365 moniker wouldn’t work either.

I like alliteration so… “The Infopreneur’s Informative Video” or something like that. I would try and keep it fairly generic because it may not always be about blogging or motivation and you can talk about whatever you need to during the video post.

    • That’s a really good point Karen, I can’t say for sure what I will be talking about in 2 years time so having that flexibility is a good idea, How about Daily T.I.P ?

      • Karen says:

Will it be daily though? What if you skip a day or can’t put up a video blog for a week? What then? Think in terms of scalability as part of your business model.

“the third eye” has a sexual connotation. Is that part of your business strategy? This takes time to come up with something that you will be happy with next year, 2 years, 5 years down the road. Serious consideration is needed.

Let’s see what else everyone comes up with.

Man, coming up with names is hard work.

Maybe some action word would do you a favor, like:
T.I.P Fire OR the T.I.P Blast
I don’t know, if I come up with something better, I’ll tell you :)

  7. Jeffrey says:

    Hi James,
Make not doubt about it; ProBlogger.net equals Darren Rowse!
    The Infopreneur.net equals James Richmond!
    Microsoft = Bill Gates!

“The One Minute Manager” doesn’t define or keyhole Kenneth H. Blanchard and Spencer Johnson. However, it has made both a ton of money!

  8. I do think TIP should be in the name. It works. VIP TIP maybe? Or just call it VIDEO TIP… J-TIP… Q-TIP (quick tip) lol I agree with the comments that you should keep time limits or constricting names out of the title. You don’t want to limit yourself. I need to add video to my blogs. What are you using to record them on?

  9. Ralph says:

    James,
    How about eye candy?
    Or maybe Info minute.

  10. Martin says:

I think you should build the name around your brand -TheInfopreneur- Maybe :
    Meet the Infopreneur
    Videos with theInfopreneur
    TheInfopreneur360

Whatever the case, build it around your brand

  11. Keith says:

“VideoPreneur” that fits the image of the site, it doesn’t need to be “daily” “weekly” or whatever.

  12. I like T.I.P. Daily – ‘daily topic’

It’s a good play on words and the title would be good for the spiders…

Just thinking about the future, I’d steer away from using your name… This could be something to where you have guest videos and if you use your name it could paint you into a corner…
.-= BrianJ | Online Business Blogger´s last blog ..Bulk Email Marketing =-.

    • So you would stay away from T.I.P or the infopreneur in the title?

      • No, like I said… I like T.I.P. Daily… T.I.P. Time is a good play on Tool Time… That sounds cool too.

If you can make infoprenuer sound catchy in the title, go for it…

But it would be weird watching a video called “James’ daily video” on infoprenuer… Because you go by infoprenuer in your signatures and everything else…
.-= BrianJ | Online Business Blogger´s last blog ..Bulk Email Marketing =-.

    • I actually think that’s a great idea. Name it something that’s good for the spiders. If I were google and wanting to send people looking for videos to your blog, what would bring them? It’s a great question. Do you name it something clever, or something that’s good for search engines?

  13. Derek Jensen says:

    James,

I would do something like “A Minute or Two with the Infopreneur”.

    Here is my reasoning:
It creates a nice casual setting for people to want to just hit play to see what you have to say in a minute or two. Be sure to make the most of this small precious time, because I will say the attention span is very short in video posts but when you can easily make them very effective.

I would suggest too that with whatever title you end up with to have your name or the site’s name but make it more casual and less business-oriented. Video posting is a great way to build personal branding.
And from listening to Gary V a lot, I agree with him in that personal branding is so crucial.

Let me know if you need any further and I would be more than happy to help you out!

    Best Regards.

    • hey Derek good to speak to you again brother, man I like that I think the personal branding is really important. Brother what do you think of” T.I.P Time”?

      • Derek Jensen says:

Yeah sorry I have been away for awhile. Still planning on doing a guest post here for you.

In regards to the name, I feel people will wonder what T.I.P. stands for and I just thinks tacky. Really great idea, but I would actually say ‘The Infropreneur”.

So, ‘The Infropreneur Time” does not really make sense to me. I just keep thinking of the show named “Tool Time” off of the TV show with Tim Allen called ‘Home Improvement’.

  14. Derek Jensen says:

That is what I think. I just think that it would be better to have your ‘brand’ name be written out.

  15. Derek Jensen says:

Yeah you have built a great community here! My site is doing alright. Pretty soon it should be better after I reach out to all the college students here at Iowa State.
