Why Google can’t beat me!

SEO is dead, gone are the days of key wording your website to attract spiders which resulted in millions of badly worded sites, which were in essence purely written for search engines. TheInfoPreneur has become an impregnable force, google has met its match and here’s why I can not be beaten by the search engine giants;

  • Following

A quick search on Google for whatever your interested in will bring back (more than likely) Millions of results, and most people will only look at the front page of those results. The competition is ridiculous,, so instead of going toe to toe with the heavy weight, why don’t you run around the giant foot, and kick its ankle with social networks.

The problem with search engines is its not necessarily the best content for their search its just the best optimised site, but if you have a good social presence your readers are already pre-sold your content. They are following you, more than likely, because they are interested in what you have to say. Your readers trust you and keep coming back to you because your in their lives, their elife!

  • List

The moment your site is up and running, get an opt in list like mine on the right. If you haven’t signed up already I suggest you do to learn more about list building. A mailing list is your direct reminder for your readers to come back and see what your saying. Search engines can’t contact people at home and say hey ‘remember last time you searched for making money online?.. Well here’s some more results’ You can! You can email your readers, who again signed up to your newsletter, and say this is what I have to say, you need this information in your life.

A mailing list is something google can never never beat you with, especially if you manage to get your subscribers up to the 6 figure stage!

  • Attitude

I’m a big fan of positive mental attitude. PMA can transform the way you think and it’s this attitude that allows me to dismiss the search engines without a second thought. I hear far too many times, people saying how can I compete, just look how many results google comes up with when I search my idea. In fact some people where saying I had no chance of getting hits when I thought about starting this site, and in my first month I got 40,000 hits, all without google, I don’t actually think I have had a single click through from a search engine!

fight

Point to remember, I’m not saying don’t enter your keywords into your all in SEO widget, or equivalent, but don’t spend anymore time on it than that, you don’t need to.

What does everyone think?

    Let’s see if my comment gets through without the website link…

    So, I absolutely agree that the social networks and the email list are powerful tools… However, I still recommend that you work on developing relationships with other blogs and websites in your niche, but commenting and guest posting, etc, etc. Also, you yourself recommend still using relevant keywords. In my mind, this is all effective SEO practice.

    In essence what I’m saying is that, by producing quality content, engaging readers and other bloggers in your community and leveraging your social networks and your email list, the SEO should essentially take care of itself.

    Nice article, just responding to Eric, how do you “engage other bloggers”?

  3. Eric says:

    You can engage other bloggers by leaving good feedback and comments on their blogs. You can leave constructive criticism, suggestions or things the blogger might have missed in the article. You can offer your own unique take on the issue. Basically, you are looking to start a conversation in the comments.

    Also, you can link to other blog posts in your own posts. For example, if you’re writing about “top ten ways to improve your search engine rankings”, you can link to posts on other blogs that offer similar advice, then you can offer your own take on the matter.
