What Do You Struggle With The Most?

This question is something I need to know, I need to know exactly what you struggle with everyday. Before I get into asking you to tell me I just want to go into my motives to asking the question. I like providing results, I like helping people like Kiesha from WeBlogBetter.com (who won the runners up prize) take it to the next level.

I also like being the person who provides answers and help, but in order to do that you need to know peoples questions and problems. Now I’m not talking about any infections you have or any problems with your Sunday roast gravy going lumpy, non of that.

What are your online, off line business/website problems whether they are your most common issues or annoying things that crop up every now and again?

  • Motivation
  • Writing Content
  • Direction
  • Focus
  • Which Market
  • Managing Time
  • Getting Readers
  • The Unknown

These are some of the things I get asked about privately by email, use them as inspiration please. I honestly want to know what you struggle with or don’t understand so that I can go away, figure it out and then provide the answer as best I can.

Please take the time to fill out the form below, it’s not an opt in form so don’t worry you’re not signing up to anything, just helping me so I can hopefully help you.

I am trying to build my blog into a consulting business thats helps small businesses to establish a strong online presence.

My main challenge is to keep the contents of my blog focused. Many times I am tempted to write on other topics. But to succeed I should narrow down the topics that I want to write about.

I should resist the temptation to write on a wide range of topics.

  2. Finding people like me, that are blogging about what I’m blogging about, so we could form a community. I can’t find one! :) It makes it tough for me to get any interaction and feedback (whether it be facebook, twitter or email). It would be cool if I could find people to follow me, promote me and help me out, but it’s slim pickings. That’s why most of my traffic comes from search. Not a bad thing, but where are the Jewelry Bloggers that blog about Jewelry topics and not just selling Jewelry? Am I unique? All I can find are bloggers that talk about what Jewelry the celebrities wear. Blah! Nothing like a reference information site like mine. It almost stumps me. :)

    • Brother sounds like you’re sat on a golden nugget there, start a community brother, be the one that couldn’t find something so set the first one up?

    • rob sellen says:

Man you got a good niche there, I was gonna say, go create that community then. ;)

Consider this, you really only need to look at you past customers in your field, you got a wealth of knowledge about it, you know what works, what sells, you know what lays on the fringes of your niche, just see where you can fit it into what you have, celebs bling watch maybe?
      Clothes that showcase jewellery well?
Recommendations on other areas incorporated in the bigger niche your sit within?
Like repairs, cleaning, one off jewellery creators,, you know… :)

Take a big fat step back and look at it that way, you really only need ONE really influential person to stick your website right out there.
Thought about trying to get an ad in a good jewellery related newsletter? (online ezine?)
OR offering a small gem for a prize to the newsletters readers?

Lots of ideas, a few just off the top of my head, I think you can see there is something you can do, just trying it. :)

Hope it helps in some small way?

      • Thanks Rob. That’s great information about branching out into further areas. I was just thinking recently that I should add in affiliate links for purses, since they go hand in hand. I really want to stay away from anything celebrity related because I don’t have pics of them, and I don’t want to use copyright images. I do cleaning and repairs already, but I was just thinking that I should start a real blog about handmade jewelry. Actually learn as I go. That would bring a lot of traffic. It’s high on my list. Always good to hear what other’s outside the field think. :)

          Ya welcome mate. :D

Purses, yeah, think along other things related to in the whole “what goes with jewellery” theme, you will probably find a few untapped ideas.
Creative uses for jewellery is another thing to consider, where people do things different than the norm.

With celebs, you just write about the sort of stuff they get seen wearing, maybe tips on how those with less money can create similar looks for less. ;) ~ Thinking trends too.

          Yeah, get to it! ;)

  3. Great idea James. As always you’re trying something new and crushing it.

I struggle most with the comments, I get traffic the way I supposed to have but readers don’t leave any comments at all. I know that it is not the “must” with a blog but it always makes us feel better if someone leaves the message.

Only way is up from here so no worries :)

  5. I think this is a great thing you are doing for your readers James. Digging deep and finding out what the issues are for the masses is a great way to progress the blogosphere forward. Thanks for doing what you do and providing such great and valuable information!!
