Top Free Tools to Build Your Empire
Ok so most of you are now getting to know me, You will know then that I love not paying for anything, and that includes paying to promote the site. So here is my list of free tools I use every single day;
- Picnik.com - A fantastic site which I use to edit my pictures before uploading them to TheInfoPreneur site. Its completely free and you can do some really cool graphics to the site. You don’t even have to register, just upload and any you go. Really handy for re-sizing etc.
- FeedBurner – You need to allow your readers to access your site in as many different ways as possible, and when ever they want. Google’ s Feedburner lets you manage your RSS feeds and gives you quite in depth details.
- G-Lock Opt in – Building a mailing list is vital to your site. G-Lock is a wordpress plugin that let you build and send for free. A lot of other plugins will want to charge for this, but for now this is a great option.
- TwitterCounter – Twitter has become an integral part of this site and of me, Twitter counter gives you a really good analysis of your stats and can even predict at current growth what your followers will grow too.
- WordPress – Stating the obvious here but wordpress.com is fantastic, but if you can afford just under $10 a month, go for wordpress.org as it allows greater freedom, but to get started and start building, .com is great.
- Huitter – Great time saving tool for following back your Twitter followers (which I like to do, as I’m nosey and want to know what people are up too) be careful how many times you use it a week though, as twitter may get the wrong idea!
- Wiki – Seems daft putting this one in, but I use it all the time for research. Its fantastic and saves a lot of time. Please use it
- WordPress Plugins – If you have wordpress running your site, then go to ‘add new’ plugins and search away, some fantastic tools in there for you to use and abuse, and I have to say everyone I have come across have been free!
I don’t pay for anything I don’t have too, in fact the only thing I am paying for on this site, Is my hosting which is $6.95 a month, Thesis which is $87 one off payment, and my friends is it! The domain I got free when I signed up with BlueHost!
You could go out and spend thousands on design mailing systems hosting, custom widgets etc, but why? It can all be done relatively cheaply, and look your here reading this post, just proving it can be done!
What are you spending, please comment below.
