The Hardest Post In The World

Infopreneurs,

7 months ago I started out to help people, this site is designed to show that anyone, regardless of background can achieve anything they want. I’ve made some real friendships through this site and have dedicated my time to helping others.

The community on our site is simply amazing, well over 11,000 comments from some truely amazing people, which is why this post is so difficult for me to write.

A few weeks ago I was diagnosed with a serious condition, something that needs my absolute full attention to beat which is why this will be my last post for theinfopreneur.net.

Important

The site is continuing.  Brandon Yeager will be taking over the site, with help from the T.I.P Team.  But for me, this is the last post I will be writing.  A small circle of people know this news has been coming for a few days now, but I’ve been waiting to go public with the announcement till now.

Some of you would have been wondering what the hell was going on recently as I haven’t been posting everyday as usual, and that’s simply down to my medication and visits to the specialist.  I’ve got one hell of a fight in front of me, and stepping down to let Brandon take the site even further forward is the right thing to do for you the readers and me personally.

I’ve thought about every single circumstance to actually maintain the site myself, but it’s impossible and I feel Brandon is absolutely the right guy to take it on.

Before I make this final post into an oscar winning speech I just want to leave you with one thought that opitimizes hard work and the right solution for having success (in life or in business).

I’ve accepted that I’m ill, I’ve accepted that it’s going to get a lot worse before it gets better, I’ve also accepted the countless combinations of medication I have to take 5 times a day.

I’ve NOT accepted it will beat me, I’ve NOT accepted this will rule my life and I’ve NOT accepted defeat.

Remember how I have lived my life so far;

”You’re Already Dead, Anything You Do Is A Bonus”

Brandon wanted to share with you a few thoughts (see the two videos below), please support him, and continue to support the site that you have all helped build.

James

    • Alex,
Thanks for the great words…it makes me feel great that so many have confidence in me that I’ll be able to step in and continue to help change people’s lives and help them be the InfoPreneur’s they were put on this planet to be.

      Thanks!
      Brandon

    Hi James,

Yours was one of the first sites that I found when I was just looking for a better way to live.

Your energy and inspiration gave me hope that I was on the right path, and through your blog I met some other great people too.

    I Thank You for that.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

    Hey James,

Brother I know you’re going through a lot right now and you’ve shown that if you want something and are willing to work hard for it you can absolutely have it. You’ve been there for so many people and it shows… I send all of my prayers to you and your entire family and wish you the best of luck.

You helped open my eyes to a lot of new things and gave me that extra kick to get going faster in the right direction, thank you for that one brother, it means everything. :)

You’ll always be remembered for what you put into this site and how much you always care about every single person who puts any time and effort into what you’ve built up.

    Love you man! :)

  8. James,

I found this site around six weeks ago, probably around the same time you were diagnosed.

I don’t say this lightly, but this site is truly one of the most amazing site’s I’ve ever seen, and you are one of the most amazing people I’ve ever seen. What you’ve been through in your life is something that I can only IMAGINE.

And yet you’ve made the best of it. You grew this site almost as fast as it could possibly grow. You reached people like me and greatly impacted their lives for the better.

It saddens me to see this post; in fact, I’m stunned, beside myself. You are a great person. You’ve overcome so much, and done so great for the world.

Your upbeat comment’s and amazing video’s are some of the saddest I’ve ever seen and watched given the circumstances.

What has happened is simply terrible. I’m sure, James, you’ll fight, and certainly will not go down. If there is a God, he would be with you.

So sorry to see you go, and good luck to Brandon. I’m sure this site will continue to be amazing; Brandon, you are absolutely the right man to take the job, but it will never be the same without you.

  12. Johnny Laird says:

    Staggered to read this news.

I’m very late to the party with Infopreneur. It was only last week that I first ran into the site – quite by accident – but was almost immediately inspired to post on my own blog about how James’ posts had captured my imagination.

    http://www.johnnylaird.net/2010/05/could-james-richmond-be-the-uk%E2%80%99s-answer-to-gary-vaynerchuk/

I was so looking forward to reading more, and following the progress of James’ Infopreneur site.

Here’s hoping & praying for a speedy, full recovery – even beyond all expectations.

Hang in there, James…I’m sure Brandon will do a great job for you.

  14. Sheila says:

I wrote a post (not published yet, with a blog that’s not up) about all of the people I have learned from. You were the only one who moved me; the only one that moved me to action. I mean, really MOVED me. James, I am so sorry about this bump in the road for you. I have seen people overcome the absolute impossible. I knew God had a special plan for you when I met you last fall. I believe in prayer and will be praying day and night for you, your family, and Brandon, who wants to care for your creation as lovingly as yourself. James, IT’S GONNA BE OK, FOR REAL!

  15. James says:

This will be just another difficulty for you to speed over and dominate. I believe that everything in life is a message and an opportunity. You already had the organization to keep TIF in motion and you have a following that is cheering for you to get this done and get back to work. Best to you and your family during this battle.

  16. Cori Padgett says:

James.. sooo sorry to hear of the illness. I’m certain it won’t beat you though, mind over matter. I know it’s tough to truck on when you feel like crap, but remember that the feeling like crap part WILL pass… focus on your health, keep moving forward in all that you do, and I’ve no doubt you’ll be back to blogging about your story when all is said and done. In the mean time, my prayers are with you, and let me know if there is any way I can help you out.

Brandon, I’ve no doubt you’ll lead Infopreneur in as excellent manner as it’s creator, and I look forward to your future work. :)

    Warmest,
    C

  17. Jimi Jones says:

    Brother James.
truly sorry to hear this development, but hope and pray that all works out for you, man. You have had an impact upon every person that ever stopped by here and it’s because of your genuine personality and that high energy and friendship you have always extended to all.

You are an inspiration to every blogger and I personally wish you and your family all the very best. We will all look forward to your return some day.

In brotherly love, keep the faith, man. Keep the faith!

  18. Denise says:

So sorry James to hear of your news. The same energy and enthusiasm you have had in your writings and especially your videos; keep that attitude going. It is a bit contagious you know. Because this is what you have put out into the world, it comes back to you by leaps and bounds. It will help pull you through when you’re in a lull. Know that we care, prayers will go out for you and your loved ones, and hope that you have a full speedy recovery. Appreciate the help and sometimes the needed ‘gentle nudges and kicks’ you’ve given. I will miss your work here and hope you’ll stop by sometime. The very best to you James!

I trust your judgement James in choosing Brandon to carry on your ‘creation.’ Brandon, your video was nicely done-very heartfelt. I’m confident you’ll do a great job.

    • Thanks Denise. I’m still trying to keep my head screwed on straight figuring out the day to day stuff, but it’ll all come quickly. Once you hop in the frying pan, things start to happen you know.

  19. Amy Jo says:

I have not poted here before, but I am a follower of your blog. I just wanted to send you well wishes on a healthy recovery. My own illness a few years ago is what lead me to the wonderful world of online business, I was home bound and had nothing to do and I was told I would never be able to go back to work. I beleive there is something truly special about this cyber world because of the people it brings together. Remember, you have not spoken to many people that you have touched with your wisdom and your words and these are the same people that will prey for your recovery, send you healthy vibes, and be here waiting for you when your health returns. Stay mentally strong and there is nothing you can’t tackle!

    Wishing you a speedy recovery!
    Amy Jo

    • Amy Jo,
awesome post and I’m sure James appreciates hearing that stuff from you. I wholeheartedly agree, it is an absolutely amazing world…the online world and it’s awesome when you can communicate with people across continents, share in pain and suffering, exclaim excitement together, all with the clicks of a mouse. It is amazing.

Brother, I know your pain. I stared down the barrel of skin cancer earlier this year. I got it tested, removed, removed some more and tested again. I am in the clear, but I know it is always going to be lurking. Take Care of yourself do what you got to do and most of all take a chance to laugh and have fun.
