“Forget Making Money” I’m totally agree with you.
I see many people starting blog just for making money and end with no results.

If you start a blog with aim of making money, then you can’t make a single dollar. But if you start a blog with aim of helping other people then money will automatically come.

I agree with Brandon,

It is entirely up to each individual whether posts are short or long. I guess it also goes on the subject… some things can’t be summed up in a short post.

The main thin is delivering quality content that will be of real useable benefit to your readership.

What a great article and exactly what I was looking for since I am just starting my own Blog. I finally got my layout done and was wondering how or what I had to do to make it successful and this post breaks it down into simple, yet effective steps to achieve my goal. Thank you so much!

I do have another question for you, if you don’t mind. Should posts be kept to a short and concise length so people read the whole thing or do you find if the information is good enough it doesn’t matter? Thanks!

Phil,

You are absolutely right when you talk about the importance for planning as well as being “real” and not really looking from day one to do nothing but make a buck off of people. Like the man said in “field of dreams” If you build it they will come. You must first offer quality nothing but quality and hard work. It is all about positive karma if you do enough good things over time you will reap a karmic reward.
