iPhone WordPress plugin
With hundreds of millions of people online every single day, a rapidly increasing trend is for people to surf on their phones. It could be the best site in the world, but if its not optimized for mobile/cell phone use then it will lose traffic in a big way.
What will happen if I dont install this plugin?
Your going to lose a massive amount of traffic and equally a massive amount of RSS subscribers;
- RSS – These days most RSS feeds go to mobile/cell phones as a live feed to a home screen like the Nokia N97, resulting in a constant captive audience.
Your losing out on the lunch time surfer
- We’ve all seen them, indeed I do it all the time, Sat outside a coffee shop gliding a thumb over their generic touch screen phone browsing their favourate sites while sipping a latte. If its not optimized for phone browsers, it’ll take an age to load, and they will choose a different site to read.
It won’t load properly
- These days a site that has huge content, now has a ‘light’ version. Twitter, Facebook, Youtube and Google all have these phone friendly sites. This plugin makes sure all your links, pictures load properly and quickly.

Sounds great…..
It really is, This app was first talked about here, and can be seen here, you can add it into your wordpress theme by going to plugins on your dashboard, add then type for WP iPhone and install. No hassle.
Anyone using this too? Let us know what you think by leaving your comments and re-tweet if you want to.

I’ve done some analysis on my stats and I can’t believe the number the number of people who visit my site on an iPhone. Even more so the number of people who read pages on their RSS readers.
With the WordPress Moble plugin you can get the site nicely formatted to be read in Blackberry/iPhone format.
One thing I have noticed though is that Disquss (comment management) doesn’t format very well on an iPhone, so worth bearing in mind.
