OK this is a really quick how to type post on how to add videos to wordpress, but first I just want to talk about why adding videos to your site is so important. This is social media and while some love the written post, some love even obsessed with online video and that’s why you need to pay attention.
Adding video to your site is a seriously smart move, it can massively help create another angle to your site and content, now I’m not saying you should go totally video but by incorporating both written and video content you really are becoming the complete package.

It is a strategy to add video to your posts…It increases the average visit length of a visitor…so atleast a picture if not video is recommended for any blog or website post

yeah absolutely man, I think it’s so important to include video when and where you can, keep the written content up of course, but having both makes any site stronger in my opinion, don’t you think?

I’m also going to start video-blogging this week.
I use the Viper’s quick tags Video plugin, which lets you use videos from all major sites. It’s pretty useful (I’ve tried in for test runs)
However, Viddler is the way to go for me! It’s way better than Youtube (easier to upload + better quality), can easily be connected to your blog and lets you create your Logo (!) on the right corner of video. Talking personal branding

Yeah I’m with Viddler too going to use that for my webinar type stuff which is longer than ten mins, one thing about viddler, have you tried it on a mobile device? Like blackberry or nokia?

I’m using the Viper plugin on one of my blogs too and I agree it’s pretty easy to use.
The other day I did a guest post at FamousBloggers but there was no plugin – I was completely lost! Of course Hesham gave me a hand.

Good idea I’ll get something together
Recently I started using a Plugin called YouTube With Style, make inserting the video even easier from the visual side using a simple [youtube]youtubevideolinkhere[/youtube] action and it gives the video a different style than your typical embed, as well as it allows you to set custom sizes to fit your blog.
