Page 1 out of 1 Point 6 BILLION Pages – Is it Even Possible ???

Ok, I was even pleasantly surprised to find myself sitting on page 1 of Google for the term “information marketing”….without quotes.  Actually…spot #5!  The absolutely amazing thing…it has 1.6 BILLION…yeah…Billion not Million pages indexed.  I almost fell off my rocker.  I’ve been hitting it hard lately with some hard-core SEO…I guess it’s working.

Anyway…just one of those crazy things I’m checking on at nearly midnight here near Pittsburgh.

Keep on rocking the house!

The good news, you came up #3 when I googled that term. The bad news, math is not your best subject. That is a billion, not trillion.

    • Keith….SWWEEEET! thanks for that update. annnnddd DOLT! The sad part is…Math is my best subject…even have a minor in it. I guess, that’s why I fired my Elec Engineering job 6 years ago. ;)

Congratulations! It is exciting when you make the first page, especially as you move up towards the top. It shows you’re doing something right and it’s something other bloggers can aspire to. Who knows? Someday your site may make the top of the list. Lots of luck!

  4. Hey Brandon,

That is amazing, you must really know what your doing when it comes to SEO. Is the term searched for a lot or is it one of low competition? I ccan’t wait till one of my pages lands on page one.

Quick question: What percentage do you want of a search term do in your articles?

Hope to hear from you soon! ( :

    • Hey William,
Ummmm…my secret weapon would be outsourcing to somebody who uses a secret weapon. ;) I can tell you this…there are usually 2 or 3 keywords in each article of about 450 words…at least that’s what we’ve been doing anyway.

      Take care Sir William.

That’s great Brandon! I just had another look and you are now in position 3 so you’ve moved up a couple more spots. Congratulations.

  6. Edgar,
    Sure will…not a problem.

  7. Brandon,

That’s great news. Hard work does pay off. Hope you get to number one spot…real soon.

  8. Come on Brandon, you’re not actually expecting us to buy those skewed results you have displayed are you ??? Please !!! I have you at number #2 on page 1 in the SERP’s. Man …… some Bloggers!

  9. Its good to see you are ranking No.1 for information marketing. How much traffic do you get from this. Last year one of my posts started to rank in the top 3 for ‘Ecommerce future”. Although I know this is not as important as “ecommerce”, till date it continues to draw about 50 users per day. And I have not added anything new on my post since then. I hence fully realise the importance of a post ranking in the top 3.

This proves that meaningful, relevant, unique content will win out always. Also the fact that you update on a regular basis keeps visitors and the search engines coming back for more. If people would focus on writing for their ‘customers’ and not the search engines…there would be more success stories like this. Keep it up!
