TIP2.0 – Tribulations and Plans

SUCCESSFULLFAILURE (opening of Dutch Identity at de Paviljoens in Almere)
Hey InfoPreneurs!

After a hiatus…I’m…Back!

A Candid Question For You:  Have you Ever Failed?

You ONLY fail, if you quit.

Look, sometimes, we all need to have our “perspectives changed” by life’s events.  It adds a complete new meaning to whatever it is that we are experiencing.

I’ll put it this way.  Have you ever had a life experience, that changed the way you view your life and it’s purpose.  Well, what ends up happening is that you have this reckoning.  What is important, and what isn’t important.

Ok, Where have I been?  What’s going on?

Well, for starters my grandma passed away August 29th.  Put a lull on things for a couple weeks.  Matter of fact, still working on resolving a couple things with the estate regarding the property that needs to be sold.

Then, I found another house to flip.  Actually purchased it last week right before Thanksgiving, used some Video and Email marketing, and moved the property to the first buyer who looked at it.  It will sell to him next week and will put a really nice check into the bank account.

In the mean-time, I also spent about 3 weeks making a new bedroom inside our house.  It was quite a project, and now my daughter’s have a place to call their own.

I really just needed a “TIMEOUT”….not sure if you understand, or not, but it was the truth.  I had some crazy thoughts running through my head.

What Insights Have I Gained?

  • Well, for one, I haven’t been giving enough to others.  This universe has a way of paying you in direct proportions to the value you provide to others.
  • You need to be willing to ask for the sale.
  • Opportunity doesn’t come knocking for you, so start knocking and find Opportunities.

Along with the information products I’ve created for here at TIP, I just continuously have this calling to help people locally.  I see so many opportunities where businesses are just failing.

I’m planning on revamping the previous products we’ve had, and put some twists onto them.

Have you Ever Wanted to Go in 3 Directions at Once?

Have you ever had so many possible money making thoughts in your head, that you didn’t know which direction to take?  Yeah, Me too!  However, I have also learned that you need to stick to one nugget, bite hold, and make it profitable.

Also, I’m going to Re-Exclaim to everyone…you can’t just blog, for the “blogging sake” of it…you need to have a purpose.  Every single post. You need to examine in your life what is going to make the most amount of money, and focus on it.  Once that is mastered, and making money, move onto the next.

You need a sales funnel.  You need a product or service to offer to the people who visit your site.  If you don’t…your blog will die.  And it needs to be valuable.  Something that will solve people’s problems.  If you don’t help people, and solve their problems…you will be bankrupt.

  1. Hi Brandon,
Welcome back! I had been asking around as to your position from former TIP members. No one really knew. I was planning a post for the first of the year on the demise of Theinfopreneur.net James was actually the inspiration for my section “The Sunday Morning Post”, http://bloggersmarket.com/the-sunday-morning-post/ so I was interested in following the “story” of the Blog.

As for Blogging for Bloggings sake, one thing I have come to learn is that you must be there everyday, there are just too many out there trying to make a Blog-of-it. If you don’t feel you can make a go of it financially, for finances sake, don’t do it.

The interest really needs to come first before the Blog. Clark Howard is about as useless an individual as can be. I don’t need to be told to “turn off the lights in the home at night to save on the bill”. But for all his useless advice, he has both of us beat on the Internet. http://www.clarkhoward.com/ He has just been knocking around for years refining, before he took up the Internet.

In the next several months I’ll have 24 months into Blogging. Close inspection of the comments to my posts will reveal that I’ve yet to build a following. Conversely no money.

I have no intention of going anywhere! We don’t all develop at the same rate. As time goes by and my talents as well as my Blog evolves, the following (and income) will build.
It is my sincere hope that you can make a go of theinfopreneur.

Welcome home Brandon, and here’s hoping you and your family have a great holiday season!

    • Hey Jeffrey,
Thanks for the words and the inspiration.

Regarding the being at your blog everyday….in spirit and connection….yeah, pretty close to it. Postings wise…I’m still a proponent of posting when you have something to say, somewhere to lead your readers, new words of wisdom, etc.

I actually have some pretty amazing stuff in the works right now, but am also striving to develop a more consistent cash stream in my life. I needed a “quick cash infusion”, so I am flipping a house…it’s selling next Friday, Lord willing.

I have no doubt that I could flip my way to a financial freedom, even in this economy, but you know what, I really don’t want to. My heart wasn’t in it, my passion wasn’t there, and if your passion for it isn’t there…you won’t be successful.

I’ve been doing some things for local small businesses recently, and am finding that is really a passion of mine. But, again, it always comes back to having a product, or a service of some type to offer somebody, and then blogging around it.

Thanks for sticking around man…looking forward to conversing more in the future Jeffrey.

      Brandon

      PS…Have a GREAT Christmas also.

  3. Hi Brandon,
My condolences to you. I understand how a loss like that can feel so I offer my deepest sympathy. I’m glad to hear about all of your exciting plans, though. I of all people know how it feels to have all these ideas pulling you in fifty different directions and how hard it is to try to focus on one thing. I don’t know if I’ve been so successful at doing that lately, but I’ve definitely got plans to get re-focused for the coming year. I’ve got some balls that I really need to get rolling and there just doesn’t seem to be enough time in the day.
Anyway, maybe if got off the internet I could get more done :) Ironic isn’t it? :D

    • Hey Kiesha!

      Thanks for the condolences.

I know you’ve got great things going and make a huge splash. It’s all about redefining what is working for us, what isn’t working for us, and then plowing forward. Will we make mistakes? Sure! But without those moments, then we can’t grow and learn. As long as we constantly move in the correct direction, right? :)

My pure focus is going to be on outputting great content and products 24/7. Now is a great time to sit back and reflect on the happenings over the last year. If we aren’t where we want to be, how can we change what we are doing to get there? And then break the elephant down into small actionable items.

Let me know if you need anything,
      Brandon
