Bloggers – I’m Coming to Get You

Have you ever felt like you left something unfinished?  Like you had some “business not taken care of?”  I have.    Not in the “shoot’em up” spirit of things, but in the hopes, dreams, and aspirations you’ve ever wanted, but didn’t quite get there.

I hate losing.  I HATE it.  There aren’t many things in life I hate, but I hate not succeeding.  Seriously.

I love blogging.  I love bloggers.  I enjoy the community, and the sharing of information, and relationships that can be built from them.  Unfortunately, I found myself in a horrible, dire situation last year.  I was blogging my bloddy fingers out, working on creating great content, etc, but wasn’t making any profits.

I’ve talked with some old blogging buddies lately, and have truly enjoyed my re-igniting conversations with them.  The funny thing is….a lot of them are just now feeling some of the pains that I was experiencing 10 months ago.  Tons of traffic.  Tons of community…but no cashola coming in the door.  If that is not one of the most frustrating rat race wheels that have ever been invented, I don’t know what is.

Please re-read some of my words.  I love blogging, and I love bloggers.  However, having the chance to look back now, and see some of my biggest mistakes, I see huge holes in my system.  Huge holes, which can be filled in with pavement, and allow you to keep driving on…profitably this time!

Couple Quick Thoughts:

  • If You are Driving Yourself Crazy – STOP.  Rethink your plan and regroup.
  • If You are spending 20 hours / week blogging, and not making profits – STOP.  Rethink your plan and regroup.
  • If You are Driving Massive Amounts of Traffic, and nobody is joining your email list, or purchasing from you – STOP. Rethink your plan and regroup.

Hopefully, you are catching my drift.  Anyway, I’m working on the final videos right now for TheInfoPreneur Academy.  They should be wrapped up by Wednesday, will be spending a couple weeks putting on the finishing touches and creating some promotional videos, etc, and then I’m going to be going into promoting mode. And coming back to make this site what I’ve always wanted.  But this time…it’s going to be a different story.  The backend service and product funnel will be in place.  There won’t be any postings…”for the traffic of it”.  The posts will be completely geared toward helping people produce profits, and to make this world a better place…by sharing what they know with world.

I want you to know this…I’m coming back to get you bloggers – Not in a “I’m coming to hurt you” mentality (Even though I was Infantry)….I’m coming back to help rescue some bloggers who are hostages to their own systems they’ve created.  The bloggers who insist on inserting punjee spikes inside their toe nails to create great content.  The bloggers who routinely hook-up electrical conductors to their…well…their bodies nakedness in order to “get a post out for that day”.  Yeah, that’s what I’m talking about.

In about 1 month…this site is going to be transforming into a place of wholesome goodness, and chaulk full of profitable ideas…if you are into being an InfoPreneur that is.  And most bloggers, no matter what niche they are servicing…are InfoPreneurs in some form, or fashion.  One of my goals will be to help you extract more profits from your site…but just know…you may have to take a step backwards…in order to move forwards.  Just sayin’.  Maybe not, but most of you…yep.  That’s what may be required.

No Negotiating,

Brandon Yeager

  1. Join the 1% club, Brandon. Pretty soon, the scales will fall from the eyes of all.

To be brutally honest, I only saw this post because I have my Gmail filters set up to alert me when I get email that I am to busy to ready anymore. Your blog and everyone else’s is on the list.

99% of that list will be culled. The 1% will be those who still deliver great value without expecting a lot of empty social media reciprocity. Does that make sense?
If not, please check my post “Brainquake.”

    Cheers,

    • Hey Mitch….
      YOU JUST MADE MY DAY!
      Seriously.
Ok…I understand what you are saying…but I still had to pop over and check out your Brainquake. :) right on.

Sometimes…the best thing we bloggers can do is just take a sabbatical from ourselves…in all seriousness. Just go to the bathroom, and give yourself a hard gut-check. It stinks pouring your life into endless posts and not making a dime from it. But…there are indeed ways to turn it around.

It requires a complete 180 in our thought process, and a complete game changing attitude to do it though. Those aren’t always the easiest things in life to do. However, instead of viewing it as a failure (as I was doing), turn it into a learning experience, and attach from a different angle.

      Take care,
      Brandon

      • You right about the difficulty, Brandon. Having become attached to the routine of writing posts, commenting, linking and tweeting, I felt as if I were abandoning friends.

I think I looked at the time wasted more so than the process being a failure. That’s because along the way, even though I didn’t make any money (I was never monetizing the blog, outside of a stray affiliate link), I met a ton of fantastic people. In addition, I did learn a lot, laughed a lot and last but not least, got a chance to do something I love: writing.

Now that it has been nearly 90 days since the Brainquake, things are moving along in the proper direction.

Knowing you, it won’t take nearly that long! ;)

        Cheers,

        Mitch

Congrats Brandon, you finally made it into “Blogging Quotes To Live By”

    http://bloggersmarket.com/blogging-quotes-to-live-by/

You have to read all of the quotes to get to yours though, its at the very bottom.

Call me up in about 6 months, hopefully by then I’ll have enough of a following to contribute some meaningful insights. Right now I’m in the early days of building my blog.

Just joined your list. What’s your opinion of the optin box system you’re using? I’m planning on installing something better than the standard aweber generated one.

    • Hey Bruce,
I like it…but I’ll know better soon how well it can really work…as I’ve not been “blog” focused….versus “product” focused…so, now…I’m going to put a post up shortly with an update.

      Brandon
