You know, it’s amazing how fast things can change. I’m going to share with you some thoughts in this post. Thoughts that 3 weeks ago…to a large extent were just theory. Theory based on studying, interviewing, and reading what other experts were doing create bigger paydays for their business.
It’s staggering. You may heard the age-old analogy about the crabs pulling all the other crabs back into the bucket, therefore they can ever escape. That’s sort of what I see happening in the online world to an extent. I see people fighting and clawing, trying to find ways to make incomes to stave their families from starvation, yet I see others who seem to hit stardom overnight.
What Is It That Allows 1 Person to Make $200 for a “How-to Twitter” Product, and Somebody Else $25 for a “How-to Twitter” Product?
In this post, I want to share with you 3 key things that have allowed me to go from thinking I was worth $25/hour…and selling $29 Ebooks, to knowing I was worth $250/hour…and selling my newly released information product for….$297.
#1) Positive Affirmations Several Times a day. Sounds hokey, doesn’t it? I know. In a nasally voice, say “Oh, yes, Positive Confirmations”. Great! (Good job on that voice also).
Seriously. After 1 week of ramping up my hourly rate…I almost went back to the $25/hour bucket. Then, like a couple strikes of lightening…I experienced some $250/hour successes. And it felt amazing. However, that one week, I had self-doubt creeping in. I had the “red miniature winged devil” sitting on one shoulder telling me I was good for nothing…what was I thinking?
Then, I started making myself believe it. I know, it’s corny. I started saying positive confirmations to myself everyday. And it worked…my beliefs began to turn into reality. Amazing how that stuff works, huh?
So, Action Step: Create Positive Self-Affirmation Sheet and say it several times each day…until you actually believe it (Even if it takes 1 year…this is the key to success or failure…believing you can do it)
2) Positioning Myself Differently
No, I didn’t contort my body into different positions on my chair, thereby “positioning myself” differently. I actually studied what the pros were doing. Like I asked before…what makes an offer worth $25 versus $250. For sure, there are 3 key things: a GREAT Offer, a Quality Driven Delivery Platform, and Great Sales Copy.
Back to positioning, here are 3 things you can do to position yourself better:
- Get photos with celebrities and people higher up the ladder than yourself.
- Video interview people you look up to. It’ll help you spread their message, and it will allow you to borrow some of their credibility.
- Walk the walk. Though the temptation may be great to revert back to $25/hour mentalities…stay with $250/hour. Then, begin acting like it, and taking action that somebody making $250/hour would take.
3) Ask For It & Questions of Proposition
I reached a point of No Fear. I know, again, sounds hokey, but hear me out. I was afraid to reach out and connect with other marketers, other bloggers, and people way-up-high on the ladder of success. I was simply afraid to hit the “send” button to contact them. Once I began asking, doors started opening.
A real estate investing mentor of mine, named Greg Pinneo, talked about Questions of Proposition. He made all the agents in his office ask like 20 each day. Would you take $20,000 for this house? Would you be willing to split the transfer taxes? Now, please don’t take the word “propositioning” out of context here. If you proposition people for their body, you are a bad, bad person.
In a marketing context, it is asking for somebody to allow you to do a webinar to their list. It is asking somebody else to allow you to place a banner on their download page in exchange for a share of the profits. It is asking FOR WHATEVER YOU WANT.
You aren’t always going to get a Yes, but if you ask enough questions, you will get enough “Yes’s”.
So, those are my tips for the day. If you want to play a bigger game, and elevate your paydays, you should really try these techniques out. They work.
PS. If you like this information. You will LOVE TheInfoPreneur Academy. It has my entire system for creating high-ticket information products and getting your message out there in a big way…and finally started to get paid what you are really worth (or more).
Take care,

Congratulations on your new ventures Brandon!
It’s very refreshing whenever I see someone reach their once-not-achievable goals, suddenly “something” happens and BOOM things finally click and the feeling of accomplishment is so great is hard to describe with words.
I hope that’s just the beginning of a new level and remember that once you reached somewhere higher, there’s no turning back, you have to go all the way up!
Cheers bro and thanks for sharing this, made me feel good for you and about my new ventures as well

Sergio,
Thanks for the kudos. It’s funny. Everybody struggles to find something that works for them…and then BAM! when it happens…it happens in an awesome way. It’s crazy, but I soon (6 months?) think I’ll be raising my bar again. Now, I don’t think I’ll 10X, but certainly 4X. It’s stuff that’s hard to imagine. Really. And you know what…If you shoot for the moon, but only reach the stars…you’ve still done pretty good, huh? Heard a guy use that quote the other day and it seems fitting. So, ummm…what new ventures do you have going on?
Thanks for the comment,
Brandon
Hey Brandon,
Really liked the moon and stars thinking and you’re right about improving because once you’ve discovered the formula, then the sky’s the limit.
I told you “new ventures” because of this:
I decided to give IM a try like 10 months ago but I kept myself in information gathering mode this whole time.
I certainly did a few things here and there, made a couple of hundreds by my own but not enough to make me think “I know how to make it!”.
Few days ago I decided to go full at it, started buying the tools I needed and stopped thinking too much.
I committed myself to go on a non stop action taking campaign until I make it or brake it.
My new ventures include developing a small info product (mainly to test exactly how sales funnel work) a membership training site (this is after I develop the first product) and going to aim for small offline businesses offering a few marketing services (I already started this).
And that’s about it, basically I’m trying to surround myself of recently successful people to gain the winning mindset so things are easier for me, I have the blueprint I just need to walk it.
So again, congratulations on your first big sale and hope you don’t mind me sharing these thoughts here with you.
Not really asking for anything, just wanting to share my genuine interest in following you and checking your site around
~Sergio
PS. Just checked a YT video of your TIP site’s stats, that was really great, gj Brandon!

Hey Sergio,
You’re on the right track…and offline is huge right now. Somebody could make a killing simply selling membership site stuff (PLR maybe) to offline businesses looking for help.
Keep plugging at it…have any questions…I’m here.
Take care,
Brandon
I think selling information products can make you money in the short term, but in the long term, what do you really gain? I mean.. at some point ppl will stop buying what you have to offer, and you will only have to come up with newer and newer products

Henway…ahhhhh. Not true. I’d be willing to bet somebody can make a living from 1 product for 30 years. Look at Zig Ziglar. I hear he’s used the same speech for like 30 years, and he still captivates audiences, he still provides great value. A lot of it certainly has to do with how “evergreen” your niche is. If it’s something about dog training…golly, you could go forever. If it’s something about Windows 7…you’ve got a 6 month life period. Also, remember…the goal is to build a relationship with people who love you. It’s also the beauty of the information niche…all you have to do is establish a relationship with somebody who has an email list of 50,000 people, do a webinar selling your upcoming 4 week series for $97..and bam..instant product. I think for long term business, there may not be a better business to be in. But, I guess I’m partial.
Thanks though for contributing to the conversation…and I’m all ears.

And THAT’S why you’re still on my short list of subscribed newsletters. You are telling the truth.
I’m learning this by osmosis, for now – working on the “by experience” part every day.
Kudos, Brandon!

Hey Mitch,
Good hearing from you and glad you like the info. Keep on rocking guy!
Talk soon,
Brandon
PS. Glad I’m still on the short list.
Whoo-hooo!
David,
thanks for the complement. stop back soon.
Brandon
I really appreciate this information. The third point really hit me just because it seems so easy “ask for what you want” but then end up settling for whatever other people are telling you things are worth whether service or products or anything else really. I also think these points also translate to other areas of life, not just the internet marketing side. Thanks for sharing these things.
Danielle,
Glad you enjoyed…it’s really simple, but oftentimes until we hit rock bottom…we just can’t bring ourselves to ask.
Take care,
Brandon
