Split-Testing Mania…Occuring This Week – Part I

So, one thing I learned recently…having a high end product as the One Time Offer for a freebie optin may not be the best option.  :)   Actually, in hindsight…it was horrible.

Not to be swayed though…I have a couple new products getting ready to roll out within the next 2 weeks, and some will be for list building, others will be for low-tier entry level products, etc.  One thing is for certain…A LOT is happening.

1) For starters, I’m going to be split testing 6 variations of a squeeze page for an optin to a freebie.  3 of the versions have the same text…but one is plain, and the other 2 are using the Flexsqueeze built in headers, which look pretty dang cool.  But, as we all know…just because it looks cool, doesn’t mean it will convert.

Then, each of those 3 different “layout” variations, are going to be adjusted to have more “numerical” Headlines…versus emotional type headlines.

2)  Once I have the squeeze page setup with the highest converting optin page…I’m going to be split testing an offer with 2 different pricing variations.  Both are low-tier, and should give me a great idea as to which will ultimately lead to greater profits.

3)  Last, but not least, I’m going to be testing which affiliate offers on the freebie download page lead to the most profits.  The 2 choices:  one is for freebie optins, but they may take a little longer to produce profits…I’m not sure.  The second set will be for low-tier paid offers that will be similar to my freebie being offered….they’ll just be somebody else’s products.

By the end of tonight…I’ll have 1,650 clicks lined up for this upcoming week.  I need at least 2,500 clicks to really test out all 3 phases…so I’ll need to track down 1 or 2 more sources on Monday or Tuesday.

Anyway, just wanted to keep you posted as to what I have going on…hopefully some of it may spark some thoughts and ideas in your heads on what you can do to get to the NEXT LEVEL.

Take care,

Brandon Yeager

PS.  If all of this sounds like it’s pretty technical…you’re right, it is.  That’s why I’m looking to pay a coach for a month or two, to make me an “instant expert” on some of this stuff.  Will know this week if he’s on board.

PPS.  One of my offers I’m working on releasing next week is killer.  I have a great interview (learn to interview for profits here) being lined up, and a potential partner that could catapault it into the stratosphere…will know next weekend if he’s on board…if not…I have a backup to help me launch it.  If you are a subscriber…you’ll here about it.  You aren’t even going to believe the profit potential for this system.  ;)

What tool are you using to split test pages? Google’s Web Optimizer?

I haven’t tried split testing before. But I think I should try it since it is compatible on users, who also use Google analytics. I have checked the Flexsqueeze and I am impressed with the designs and I also like their theme skins. Thanks for the interesting post.

    • Hey Rose,
Glad you enjoyed. Flexsqueeze is really good for a lot of different types of sites…my favorite part is the ability to change the looks rapidly…and EASILY. He (Ryan the creator) really has a great menu system on the dashboard).
All I can say…is split testing rocks. It really helps you identify a lot of things and make better business decisions.
      Thanks for stopping by!
