David Risley
had a post the other day that was quite timely. It was about answering the “WHY” of your blog, and exactly what it is you are looking to do. It couldn’t have come at a better time to help me refocus on what TheInfoPreneur would mean to me. Where should we go? These are all big questions that needed answering as I get ready to launch this site into Phase II.
Now, just so you know, I’m still not finished with the vision of where I’d like it to go, and I also won’t post everything here. I want to run it past the TIP Team first, but all I can say…it this is going to be one smoking hot bed of information. James had some great ideas on where to take it, and I have some I’m throwing into the mix and I think the end results will be awesome.
I began to fill in those blanks David was asking for this site. I felt it best to start off with a defintion.
What is an InfoPreneur? (In my mind, and again..subject to change)
Answer: An information creation life-stylist seeking profits through passions.
This covers folks who simply blog, covers people creating and selling physical products, people speaking their expertise to the world, people who take information and reinvent it to new formats and delivery channels, etc.
David’s Value Proposition: Your offer, helps who, to do what, and how?
Answer: TheInfoPreneur.net helps Information Marketers make more money by providing tools, motivation, and resources to grow their businesses.
Unique Selling Proposition:
Answer: Equip InfoPreneurs with the best tools, knowledge, and motivation to increase traffic, build responsive email lists, develop and deliver information products, while helping them to increase net profits.
I have some more detailed stuff (couple pages) jotted down in my notebook, but it was actually kind of refreshing just sitting down and really focusing on what it is that I’d like to do and accomplish. Not only for this site, but life in general. I’m so excited I can barely contain myself and I look forward to growing together.
I have a video lined up for you tomorrow which has some neat footage in it.
Be talking to you soon.

Jotting down goals is one thing – but, putting them on the web for everyone else to see, is a whole different animal.
That’s what I have done at the Virtual Business Lifestyle blog, showing how I want to be a Full-Time CEO with over 200+ employees by the end of the year. I also have Monthly Updates, too – so my readers and visitors can follow my progress month by month.
I think that this short post of yours today is just the beginning of the new era for this excellent website… Keep it up, and I look forward to you realizing YOUR goals for the site this year, too!
All the best,
Chris
Chris,
awesome insights. I’ll hop over here and check out your blog in a few secs. 200 employees by end of year? I’m guessing all virtual? Well, I guess I’ll just have to stop by and find out.
Talk soon,
Brandon
Hi Bud!
No, brick and mortar business. And its at 200-odd NOW! Will be 250 by the end of the year, is my guestimate!
Would love to see some comments from you letting me know what you think. And perhaps we can catch up properly and have a chat sometime.
Cheers,
Chris
That’s absolutely incredible. Just hopped by your site. will check it out further soon, but first looks, it looks great! Would love to chat.
Catch you soon.
Brandon

Will be a great ride Mike.
Hey..ps…your avatar kills me, in a funny way.
Brandon
It sounds like you have a great plan and I can’t to see what you have in store for us, Brandon.
.-= Karen´s last blog ..Seven Friends That You Need In Your Life =-.
Glad to see you’re taking the time to think about where you want to take things here. In terms of the site itself, if you keep asking yourself and the team how to structure it so it’s a massively powerful resource for visitors, that will help give even more direction.

Hey Karen,
Will be coming your way soon..keep an eye out. Making a video hopefully this afternoon.
Jean, great points, it’s always a great idea getting multiple inputs from many folks.
Thanks for posting.
Brandon
Good to see you still have a man crush on David….LOL
Hmmm….Ms. Freeman….you may have me confused with somebody else on this blog. ?? I have no idea where that one came from, but I’m all ears.
Brandon
I know exactly where Ms. Freeman’s coming from
James was always taking a kidding about his ‘bromance’ with David. There was a really cute video made about it. And now, here you are loving on David’s article. Some things never change
.-= Jean Sarauer´s last blog ..Empire Building 101 Series: The Power of Pillar Content =-.
Jean,
That’s pretty funny. Brought a smile to my face.
Thanks for filling me in.
I was thinking there must be something I’m missing.
Brandon
Yikes! Brandon I’m sorry for some reason I thought James had written this post and he every now and then jokes about his “man crush” on David.
My bad…LOL;)
Hey…no problem…actually…sounds like it tied right into with James legacy anyway. That’s funny.
Brandon
I think this is a good time for you to evaluate where you take the site to the next level. I agree with Chris D, it’s important to share what your plans are and keep yourself accountable.
Have a regular plan and share the information. After all, that’s what good infopreneurs should do!
.-= Matthew Needham´s last blog ..How to grow your business (part 7) =-.
Thanks Matthew,
Matter of fact…I just shared some and sent an email to ya.
Let me know your thoughts…
Talk soon,
Brandon
Thanks for sharing your ideas! I don’t know about the other readers, but I’ve been kind of wondering how things would be different over here without James.
I’m a big fan of public goals, which my whole site is a testament to lol. I especially like that you put things down on paper, I keep a notebook by the computer for the exact same reason.
.-= Jillian´s last blog ..Traffic Report – May 2010 =-.
Hey Jillian,
Same here about the paper nearby at all times. You’ll find, I’m not big into organization systems like blackberries, etc. (I may be if I owned one, but I don’t). I keep it simple: dayplanner, some excel spreadsheets, and a HUGE dose of action every single day. Staying focused. I enjoy crossing tasks off my list. When they are done, I write down some more, and keep knocking them off.
As soon as I get some feedback from the TIP team, I’ll know better where we are headed and will definitely keep all of you in the loop. One thing I can guarantee is it is going to be awesome.
Brandon
Hi Brandon,
This is all sounds really good. I’m looking forward to seeing how you develop this site and put your own special brand on it.
I can’t wait to see your plans and tomorrow’s video.
