I recently listened to a podcast by the man who started Submit Your Article .com. Article writing is certainly a great way to raise your profile and generate traffic to your website. The Alexa ranking on my own (new) website is improving every day simply writing articles and commenting on others.

I enjoy the content you’re posting and you’re bringing up some really valid points. I especially like the articles that dig into the heart of the matter, which is gaining more traffic. I feel if you published another ebook detailing how you maintain continued growth (which it seems you are now) it would be a big hit. Most blogs and sites i’ve been following give great advice how to start rolling in traffic, but how do you keep that traffic coming back and wanting more? Judging by your writing and knowledge, i feel you’d be capable of putting something up along those lines. Let me know for sure if you do!

After reading through your first ebook and your blogs I find myself wanting to know exactly what you’re doing (let’s remember that I’m really new to this blogging idea). So, for someone in my situation, I just want success and an action plan. What I’m basically saying here is that I’d like to see something that just bold and stands out. I have been somewhat put off by these other blogs that are offering a ton of alternatives to increasing your traffic. My response: who really cares how many options I have, I just want the one that is working.
You’re blog is proof that increasing traffic is possible and doing it in a small amount of time. So, for me to pay money (which I would) I’d like to see books that detail exactly what you’re doing (like you’re first one) on a daily basis. I would like to see it in good detail though. So you don’t just say “use social media.” That’s so vague and what a majority of people are doing. I’ve been compelled to read your articles and come back again and again in a single day because I’m interested in that next step to take (BUT this is one man’s opinion, remember its for the greater good of you) Good luck! I’d pay for your ebooks and some sort of coaching service.

This is worth a followup.
I downloaded and read through the 7 Days report a while back. Here’s my results:
1. Alexa ranking at the time went from dailys right around 90k to around 45k. within about a month.
2. 3 month Alexa ranking is following it down as well.
However, that amount of promotion cost me time on product development and programming, both of which are important to me for long term success. So it’s a double edged sword.
Also, my content isn’t always as engaging as James. A fair bit of what I write requires paying attention. (These long boring posts attract a lot of search engine attention though.)
So your results are going vary, and you should apply James tactics within your strategy, which should be different than James. If you do that, I believe you will get at least the success I’ve had, which is a long string of sub-50k days on Alexa. Some down into high 20k IIRC.

I personally do not read too much into Alexa Ranking if I can help it. Yes it is a good indicator. One can certainly learn from it.
