If you don’t go out and get what you’re after, then someone else will and you’ll always regret what they got, therefore resenting them in the end.

Good advice and if more people did this stuff the world really would be a better place.

James,
There is just nothing like an encouraging kick in the ass to start the day off right. Unfortunately, I didn’t get here until the afternoon. You can’t have the oxygen back thougth.

Dude I think I may have been wasting oxygen, or stealing it at least, you know, stashing it in cans in my basement…

Seriously, you are possibly my new hero. OK, that’s a bit strong, but you DO make me want to kick some serious oxygen wastage up and away.

One technique I do to avoid being distracted by things is by physically avoiding them. When I am at work and thinking of my tasks at hand, I turn off my cellphone, I tell other people that I will only take important calls on the landline, and I sign out of my instant messaging system. These things work for me as I am able to focus on my work and have time to improve it.

Dang dude – you’re one serious motivator.

It’s all about taking responsibility and taking action isn’t it? You have to do it. You have to sweat. You have to bleed. You have to be the one who sacrifices.

Step up and take action yourself for yourself.
