I’m Going Back to School, For You!

by theinfopreneur on December 10, 2009

I struggle with my grammar, I know I do. I have written a couple of posts about it and admitted how much of a dumb ass I really am, but I wrote a post called Admit Your Weak a few minutes ago in which I talk about how important it is to admit and face your weaknesses.

I went into town earlier today and signed out 6 books from the library all aimed at enhancing my grammar.

  • Readers

Your readers deserve the best you can give them, if your weakness affects your business in any way, no matter how big or small, you need to adresss it.

By doing your very best to give your absolute best, your readers will appreciate it. They may not actually tell you they appreciate it, but when your numbers start to rise, you will know that they do.

  • Self

Improving yourself is a fantastic thing. Human beings don’t necesserily like to admit they are wrong or weak, so to actually do something about it off your own back takes something special. Add to that the fact you are going to become more successfull in what you do its a win win situation. It’s seriously important for your growth that you look objectively at yourself and decide what you can actually improve.

  • Website

Your site is going to benefit massively. In my case, the site will benefit from well writen posts, but in your situation it maybe that you suck at keeping focused or treating your readers properly, if that’s the case, admit it and work to erradicate it. Your site is the key to your soul, by improving yourself your website will reap the benefits.

I’m impressed. You have no idea how many bloggers out there would never do that. This shows dedication.

Not many bloggers would do it, but InfoPreneuers would!

Seriously though this goes along the same lines as admitting your wrong, not many people can do it easily.

If you want to grow then you need to look within and not at everyone else.

Thanks again for commenting David

James, very cool.

If you don’t mind, I have a couple of books I recommend to everyone. The first is more inspirational and easy to read. The second is completely packed with information to help you write.

Here’s the article: http://tinobox.com/wordpress/productivity/writing-to-learn-the-open-secret-writers-rarely-write-about/

I’ll probably re-run it on Website In A Weekend within a month or so.

Hey James,

I know I am coming to this conversation a bit late but this is commendable. One of the issues on the internet today is the fact that so many people want to put on a false face and act as though they are without faults and imperfections. Hell, we’ve all got a little something about us that need improvement and I actually think it is good to show the realness.

Nice post, man.

James,
By posting this, you showed the world how down-to-earth you are.
And it made me, a reader of your blog, to comment for the 1st time :)

Keep up the good work brother.

I agree James, very admirable :) Since it’s been almost 2 months since you got the books, I wondered if you had any feedback on how you got on? The reason I ask is because they look pretty tough reading and I know how you find the words like to dance ;)

Thanks,
Eleanor

Yeah they books are really hard going for me, especially as I have limited time, but I think it’s getting better. I suppose you’re the best person to ask really?

Don’t be so hard on yourself. Your grammar isn’t that bad. I’ve been to some blogs that write like this: OMG Totaly went to the store 2day and found something u will think is awsum!

Your grammar is better than most blogs, and about 95% of youtube commentators. But I guess there is always room for some improvement.
