I’m guilty of this too. I launched a second blog a few months back, October 2009 to be precise. I barely promote the site and it has not been updated for the past 2 months now. Till date the traffic to that blog is down to a pathetic 30 visitors per week most of them being free dofollow backlink seekers. I’m already making plans to shut it down soonest as soon as I can remove all links to it from my primary blog.

I thought I could increase my earnings online by launching a new site but it’s mucho trabajo (work) all for nothing. I’ll just swallow my pride and focus on my primary make money online-blogging tips blog.

I’d probably sell it off for $20 as it already has PR 1. LOL.

I have about 5 or 6 blogs that I post on or hire writers to post on 2-3x per week. My blog is 2-3 posts per week, and that’s good enough for me.

I’d rather offer a solid post per week then write a bunch of fluff (not that you do). Some bloggers post every day, but get nothing more than 100 words out…that’s a waste of time.

I don’t mind managing other blogs, but I know when to outsource, hire writers, and pay for quality work.

I made the mistake of trying to work on too many sites at once. I’ve moved back to concentrating on just one (I do have a 9-5 job already!).

Haha…good marketing. An excellent product launch. Got reeled in like a prize sport fish.

It was a point where I wasn’t taking affiliate marketing seriously. I decided to find the best course out there and dedicate myself 100% to following it step-by-step. In hindsight, I disagree with a lot of what was taught, but I can’t really complain with the outcome.

INteresting man, $1,000 is a lot, but like you say if that provided you with a full time income then money well spent. Out of interest what made you decide that you were willing to pay that much for it?

Agree with this one. About 3 1/2 years ago, I spent over a $1000 on a “how to” course in affiliate marketing from a very famous Internet Marketer. While the information was pretty generic, I did get one nugget of wisdom…he said to concentrate JUST on one niche and keep working it at till you have success. Following this one bit of advice, I managed to make a full-time income out of affiliate marketing. So I guess it was worth the money I spent…
