TheInfoPreneur site is 18 days old at the time of writing, and keeps growing in popularity at a fantastic rate, with yesterday having a record breaking amount of hits. But why is this site doing so well considering its so young, and out performing other similar sites?…
Its because I treat this website like a military operation, and hopefully this post will show you how to promote your website like a military commander
- Preparation
You need to make sure you have the right equipment for the job, If you need explosives, you need to make sure you have the right type and amount, if you need transport, take enough vehicles, what about linguists? Prepare your website in the same way, Is the content ready, does it look the way you want it too, are you set up on all the relevant social networking sites?
- Exercise
You need to be fighting fit and at your combat weight before you deploy, Make sure your writing your best content, and giving the best physical representation of yourself. Keep posting new content to your site, the more you do the fitter you will become, start to lag behind with your post’s and you will start falling behind.
- Training
You need to make sure you can use all your equipment, no point getting into a major firefight and not knowing how to reload, so know your site inside out, how to back it up, how to send and receive emails, Do you know how your spam catcher works, How to edit the images, what about cross-linking within your site. Train hard, fight easy!
- Deployment
Now your rolling out of the barracks and into the thick of it, now what? Get your website out in front of peoples eyes, Social Networks, email, you want your website to swallow as many readers as you can, its time for your propaganda machine to take over, now push on, and promote promote promote!
- Discipline
Maintaining discipline at all times is vital to the mission, You need to post at the same times like clockwork. If you post 5 times a week, make sure you do that all year, If you post every day at 1900hrs, then make sure you stick to it. Your troops and readers need to rely on you and follow your example, so clean your boots, tuck that shirt in and lead from the front!
OK I’m not going to be bursting into your rooms at 0530hrs for a 6 mile run then to the ranges for weapon training, but I do want you to re-tweet this post and push it to your followers and readers, get your troops motivated, and make sure they follow your orders without question!
Just a reminder, You are in a safe place and have not suddenly been recruited into the Military!!
What does everyone think?

Great addition, Humility makes the person special, changing them from a hardened soldier, to a true InfoPreneur
That was excellent I think deployment (taking action) is my favorite because u can do all of the other things but won’t get any results if u don’t take action!

Yeah Chris taking action is the only way to win, is not the Generals pushing the pieces around the board who win the war its the troops on the ground!

I would also stick in preparation under equipment, things such as the right blogging platform and the right plugins to support it.

Great stuff as always.
Taking action is the biggest part of the whole thing. I always like how you add something creative to the mix. This is your style and you’re known for it. Keep at it!
I’m working on a project that will be going live next month and am writing my first ebook that will be free for and to help promote the site. You’ve been a huge help in inspiring that!

Excellent reference! Any kind of project any one heads up should be done in a manner like this. This way of thinking will get you ahead of your peers and minimize the chance of failure. Keep it up
